Michael is currently an associate artist with the Stairwell Project which places professional musicians in hospital spaces in Brisbane at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and St Vincents Private Hospital. With three research projects completed, the proof of a tangible positive impact on patients, visitors, and medical and admin staff is now clearly demonstrated. Musicians perform in foyers and walkways, entryways, and patient wards for surgical, oncology, and palliative care.
